The origin story

SayeOS started with frustration.

We were using increasingly capable models and still rebuilding context, repeating decisions, stitching together one off connections, and watching useful work disappear into conversations that could not carry the work forward.

Changing models often meant starting over. Connecting a new tool usually meant another custom integration. Useful analysis lived in one place, source data in another, decisions somewhere else, and the history of why the work changed was easy to lose.

Automation created a different problem. More capability did not automatically create better control. Systems could reason, recommend, and act without enough structure around authority, evidence, state, and review.

So we started building the system we wanted to use. A system where the work persists beyond the model. Where Python can do real work. Where existing systems keep their authority. Where different models and connection methods can participate without becoming the center of the architecture. And where the rules governing consequential work can be read.
